Curiad y Drwm

North Wales Bodhran Group

Who are Curiad Y Drwm?

First and foremost we are a group of people who meet together on a regular basis
to improve our ability to play the Celtic frame drum (Bodhran in Ireland, pronounced Bow ran). We are assisted in this endeavour by our drum tutor, Alan Collinson, Alan is the one wearing the delectable red hat in the picture.(see Bodhrán Wisdom) We hail from all walks of life, such as retailers, cartographer, software designers, engineer.

Secondly we are a performance group who can entertain you and give workshops, as we have in schools, National Eisteddfod's and have also given
stage performances on more formal occasions, such as on stage of the The Anthony Hopkins Auditorium at the magnificent Theatr Clwyd Mold,
North Wales. If you enjoy the unusual, exciting and being different for the delight and entertainment of your friends and family we are for you..

Some of the members play regularly in local bands see The Wee Bag Band
